This book will knock you off your feet by the end between the past and present references to a mystery. The book starts out slow and has an old time western feeling to it. Once you get the feel of the characters and the town you will not be able topit it down. The storyline is incredibly detailed and concise and the characters are really well developed. I have always loved it when the H/h are evenly matched and are attracted to the others strength. Everett makes no bones about the fact that he loves strong independent women. The energy of the story will keep you guessing up until the very end. This is the first book I have read by this author but it will not be the last.

A great read full of suspense, family, love and murder. It was one of those books that the further you got into it the less you wanted to put it down.
