A Great Beach Read

“Briar Browning is desperate to keep her mother’s B&B going, even without her father’s support. Cole Savitt, a former detective, takes a room to learn how badly the B&B is doing after his ex-wife tells Cole he can see his 6-year-old son IF he spies on the owner. Why that request grates becomes clearer even as Cole is attracted to Briar. But Briar is right to question Cole’s intentions, particularly when connections between his ex-wife and other characters who dealt with Briar’s mother years earlier. A great beach read.”

Beach Read

“This was a beach read for me as I overlooked the lonely quiet beaches from my beach house deck. Anyway, the fact that this story is set in my hometown is what first caught my eye and then from there the story sounded like something I’d enjoy during my beach week. My attention was captured by the Southern charm in the first pages and and I was hooked from there. The atmosphere was captured perfectly with all the sights from the bay and the pier and the sweet scents of jasmine and gardenia hanging prominently in the humid summer air. I grew to care about the characters and their relationships and the story was perfectly paced. I couldn’t read it fast enough and found myself looking for reasons to sit and devour it as often as I could. I loved it! I am immediately diving in to book two of this Fairhope series!”

Great description!

“Great description and engaging characters make this story an entertaining read. Cole is nicely developed and his despair over losing his son and Briar’s worry over the potential loss of her inn are both well drawn. The secondary characters, such as Briar’s tenants, are also quite fun and nicely drawn.”
