Always had a thing for harlequin stories, & this story I must say is a good read. I liked the characters, & I enjoyed the suspense of the story which made the book as entertaining to me. The characters brought to life the story, but the villain I felt was a bit off. Finding love, finding healing, & being able to move forward is something that’s a struggle for all. The small town, the family that huddle together and welcomed Dez was rather something that made the story a delight for me, thought being warned off by your possible sister is annoying enough.

Think I found a new genre to explore. Romantic suspense, who knew….I really enjoyed this book. The suspense aspect of it was really intriguing, and the romance was so sweet.

The story starts off with our main character, Dez, trying to steal back her mother’s car, the car that should have been hers after her mother’s death.

But she’s discovered before she has a chance to drive off with the car. She expects to be put in jail. Instead, she finds connections to her mother’s past. But, some connections from her mother’s past wish to cause her harm, and she’s in real danger.

Enter the romance. Dez meets the local tavern owner, William. After all, it’s his car she’s trying to steal. She’s attracted to him, but very untrusting due to her past. He seems like the last good guy on earth….or is he too good to be true. William, however, has fallen hard for Dez.
