Lovers or liars? Anything to solve a murder.

Laura Colton knows how to give homicide detective Noah Steele an all-access pass to her family’s luxury resort. Posing as her tattooed rock-star boyfriend, he can investigate the murder of his sister, Allison, who was also Laura’s best friend. But Laura finds the fake relationship as emotionally difficult as a real one. Wealthy and poised, she and rough-edged Noah are worlds apart. Who will believe they’re lovers? Or is their deception becoming the real thing? In either case, now she faces a real danger—that Allison’s killer is targeting her.

Would love to read more about Noah and Laura…

What was really fun about this book was my name was used for a character. My name is not real common. My husband is in a band! This made this book even more exciting and fun for me.
There is nothing better than a who-done it murder, volunteering to go undercover with a hot cop and having steamy sex with your “rockstar boyfriend”. This book covers it all and even has a few moments of tears. Would love to read more about Noah and Laura.

Couldn’t Put This One Down
Lara Colton and homicide detective Noah Steele have one thing in common, they both desperately want to solve the murder of Allison, Noah’s sister and Lara’s friend and employee. To give Noah unlimited access to the resort Lara and her two brothers Adam and Joshua own, Lara proposes a fake dating situation. I love a fake dating trope and these two are perfection! I love the Colton’s and the first book in the new series- Colton’s of Arizona- was a perfect mix of complex family drama and dynamics, romance and of course the suspenseful mix of murder and trying to figure out who’s the culprit. I couldn’t put this one down and I’m excited for the next book in this series!

Keeps You Guessing
I was a little uncertain about this book, but once I got into the story I’m glad I carried on reading it was worth it. When Noah and Laura decide to fake a relationship to help him find out what happened to his sister it was risky as they dont really look like a good match. The characters are well written and the bond between the siblings Laura, Adam and Joshua is so believable. I think we may even get stories for the brothers at some point as well. The twist and turns of the story which keeps you guessing plays out well and I found it easier to read once I got into the story.

Tugs on your heartstrings
Really enjoyed this book! Right off the start this book tugs on your heartstrings. I hope I never have to feel the pain that Noah feels about his sister but I loved how he put everything he had into finding out who had done such a horrible thing to her. I would probably feel the exact same way that Noah felt about the Coltons, at least until he really got to know them. Laura is such a soft soul, yet the strength of a survivor!! It didn’t surprise me when she suggested that she and Noah team up and act like they were in a relationship to help Noah figure out who had killed his sister. The story line is wonderful, extremely easy to read and keeps you guessing until the end. Great characters, everyone needs a Joshua in their lives!! I am curious about what happened with Laura, Adam and Joshua’s dad. I will be watching for their stories to find out. I definitely recommend this book!

Well Worth Reading!

I enjoyed this read. It started with a death. While a touch jarring, it was the key to the entire plot. Once Noah (the MMC) and Laura (the FMC) began their “fake romance,” everything came together nicely.

The things I liked about it … I loved the characters. All of them were heartwarming and easy to like. I enjoyed the location and the descriptions that came in small bits throughout the story. And that leads to the main thing I enjoyed in the book; how the author spread out the descriptions we needed for the people and place throughout the story without it feeling like info dumping.

I enjoyed it as a romance. And most importantly, it made me want to read the sequels, because you know there will be sequels … well worth reading!
