Can a rebel ever change his ways?
Being a single mother and successful florist is tough, especially when your new next-door neighbor is the man who shattered your heart. Eight years ago, bad boy James Bracken walked away from Adrian Carlton…and their unborn child. Now he’s back. And Adrian’s desire to protect her son from the truth of his biological father isn’t enough to hide the wild blue eyes of father and son, or to keep Adrian from surrendering to the raw passion between her and James.
But is he truly the changed man he claims to be? Maybe this time his rebel heart really is home to stay.

His Rebel Heart is the second book I’ve read by Ms. Williams. It’s in the Fairhope, Alabama series, and shares a lot of the same characters with the other book I’ve read from it, Married One Night …and, as it turns out, some similar characteristics as well.
Namely a highly sympathetic hero and a heroine. We have a believable–and much deserved, for James especially–HEA. Plus Kyle’s a really sweet kid who both parents obviously do everything they can to give a happy life. Overall I did enjoy reading this one.
His Rebel Heart is a standalone novel–though other novels’ characters play a part, nothing in this one depends on knowledge of events from any of the other books.

I really like this series!
Completely enjoyed this book. Adrian’s life is simple and her son is the center of it. When a new neighbor moves next door, she is shocked to see James. James left town years before and not under the best circumstances. He knew he left her behind, but what he didn’t know was he left a child as well. Now that he is back, Adrian is in a panic because there is no way she can hide her son’s heritage as soon as James sees him. She also can’t deny the pull James still has on her. This is a 4/5. I really like this series and how close these women (and now their men) are!

Absolutely perfection
This was my first Amber Leigh Williams novel and I’m absolutely in love with it. James Bracken is the epitome of trouble and sexy put together. He was once the golden child; smart, kind, sporty, popular, and loved by everyone. Then one horrible night changed everything. Adrian is a fighter and survivor and will not give up easily.
Oh, this was definitely a page turner and is definitely a Super Romance! I love how much depth both these two characters have and how determined each are on their ends about things. James was such a hunky bad boy. Even when he’s no longer that boy, he still holds up his deal of sexiness and throw in some very real emotions and vulnerability…. I would gladly step right in and smooth all those troubles away. He is just everything I love in a hero to keep me turning the pages well into the night with sighs, heartache, and uncontrolled smiling. His actions and reactions are what makes him such a great hero. Despite his unsavory past, he has a good heart and a responsible one at that to make wrongs right. He carries guilt and the weight of everything from his past on his shoulders and knowing that he’s doing things to make up for it is very heartwarming.
I love it. These two are second chances at its best and it’s just, worth it! My heart literally skipped every time James pulled Adrian into his arms, every time a vulnerable part of him is shown – past or present, and every time he is a father to his son. I’ll say, he is a true heart throb hero. I give Ms. Williams a thumbs up for writing such heart pounding emotions that just ties you up in knots and makes you fluttery every where. The emotions were on point and in motion with how well written the story is and everything. Absolutely perfection.
So I highly, like highly, recommend this.

A page-turning, angst-filled experience
I must admit that I was surprised on just how good “His Rebel Heart” was. This was my first experience reading anything by Amber Leigh Williams, but this woman can write a seriously good story. Going into this book, I thought it was just going to be your typical run-of-the-mill romance story, but it was so much more. It’s a story of finding forgiveness and learning to forgive. It’s about facing the people who had given up all hope on you and proving that change for the better is possible – even for the biggest rebel. Most of all, it’s a story of true love that was always meant to be despite a very long interruption. I really enjoyed most everything about “His Rebel Heart”. James character has a special place in my heart.
Amber Leigh Williams delivered with a page-turning, angst-filled experience that was both captivating and intriguing. I was really impressed by the plot and how the author managed to suck me right into the story. I love a no-nonsense story with characters I can relate to and this one did not disappoint. From the very first page, I didn’t want to put this book down – it was just that good – and I loved every minute of it!
